in Surveys

In response to inquires and concerns about 2009 continuing legal education (CLE) registrations, we’ve compiled this short survey which will be up for 48 hours.  Please complete.  Results will be posted.  Thank you!

UPDATE: This survey was scheduled to close on Friday, November 6, 2009, but CLE providers continue to participate and have requested additional time, so will keep open until Wednesday, November 11th at which time an updated report will be posted. Thank you very much for your participation!

Have you experienced an increase or decrease in registrations for CLE courses?

Have you used Social Media to advertise your course offerings?

Are you a non-profit organization?

How much of a change, if any have you experienced in the number of registrations in 2009 compared to the prior year?

What is your primary mode of delivery?

Thanks, look forward to seeing results, is there a way you can break down the results by type of provider, ie local or national?

Todd, this survey ends at the close of business today (5 p.m., Pacific) and I’ll tabulate and post the results later in the evening.

I quickly created and published this survey in response to inquiries so it’s not as detailed as it could be, and does not include breakdown by type of provider. However, I may be able to piece that together but will take a bit longer.

Thanks for taking the time to participate in this survey and your comment.

We probably experienced more of a decrease a few years ago. Online has definitely made up any difference in the live in-person programming over the last few years.

We have had success in designing programs for specialized groups and bringing programs to lawyers in their communities

Happy to report favourable conditions downunder , even our more innovative programs are flying. This has probably been the result of picking the winners on high quality programs and intensive and creative marketing. Support from other Bars and providers has been a key – good to have friends around.

Great to hear, Helene, and thanks for your comment!

As you know, the legal profession has been severely impacted by the prolonged economic downturn here in the United States and CLE is no exception.

I’d love to hear more about how you’re working together with other providers, a burgeoning and competitive landscape.
